TITLE: IT Specialist/Analyst
DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the analysis, implementation, support, enhancement/modification,
and the development of IT systems and solutions. Assist in development of customer
operational databases and workflows, provide desktop PC support, and assistance in all aspects of Company IT functions and technology infrastructure support.
REPORTS TO: VP, IT
QUALIFICATIONS: The qualified candidate will possess a 2-year degree in Information Technology or similar field AND/OR commensurate employment experience in similar position(s). Must have a combination of skills including ETL, strong database knowledge, PC OS and network infrastructure support, and, most importantly, a desire to learn and grow professionally in the technical area with a growing company.
IT Generalist – must be willing to troubleshoot technical issues as they arise, log support calls with software vendors in order to help end-users through support processes, perform operational duties like backups and software updates, assist in management and adherence to security compliance programs, assist in documentation of processes.
Database Analysis – must be able to review and evaluate different jobs’ IT requirements and competently model/design a database structure and related reports in order to support them.
Database Programming – will be required to learn IDML (Interactive Data Manipulation Language) in order to physically implement databases and supporting programs. Will write or update IDML code for programs and make modifications to existing code (report writing, etc)
Desktop PC Support – will need to have a working knowledge of Windows Desktop Operating Systems including: Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows Server 20xx. This individual will be responsible for desktop hardware and software troubleshooting.
REQUIREMENTS: This position requires regular office hours (8:00 – 4:30) and may occasionally (once per month or less) require several hours in the evening or on a weekend. Strong written and verbal communications are required. This position requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate telephones, computers, and other office equipment and the ability to lift 35 lbs (computer monitor). Willing to train the right candidate with the right attitude. Must be self-directed and motivated.
